The Parent Center’s mission is to provide support and resources to families through school and community resources. We are committed to encourage, develop and increase parent participation by facilitating mutual school and district collaboration opportunities.

 

Silver Creek Parent Center is located next to the administration building.

Parent Involvement Opportunities

School Site Council (SSC)

The school site council plays an important role in decision­ making, and helps develop, review, and evaluate school improvement programs. The members of the site council are parents, students, teachers, community members, and the principal.

English Learners Advisory Committee (ELAC)

The ELAC Meeting are to discuss the academic progress of our students, whose native language is not English, are doing at Silver Creek High School. Parents, guardians and students are welcome to attend, discuss and help decide how best to meet the needs of English Learner students.

 

Coffee with the Principal

This is a great opportunity for parents /Guardians to sit down informally with Mr. Adolfo Laguna and ask any questions, share your concerns as well as your ideas and discuss all the important things happening at Silver Creek High School. Coffee with the Principal is schedule every 1st Thursday of the month at 8:30am in the Parent Center.

 

Parent/Teacher/Student Association (PTSA)

PTSA is a volunteer association where parents, educators, students, and other community members can be active in their schools and communities. PTSA also sponsors students scholarships, and campus beautification among other projects.

 

Athletic Booster Club (SCABC)

Athletic Booster Club enhance the experience our athletes have while participating in school sports programs beyond what the school budgets can provide. Booster Club promotes opportunities to build and strengthen relationships among everyone involved through the enthusiastic participation of volunteer officers, directors, parents, school faculty and staff, sponsors, and community members.

 

Latino Parent Coalition, Vietnamese Parent Coalition, African American Parent Coalition

 

Parent Coalitions will support and advocate for the community in Silver Creek High School in matters relative to the learning environment and the educational needs of students.  The Coalition will support and sponsor projects and initiatives to resolve problems and positively impact the learning environment and the academic results for students.
