Silicon Valley Career Technical Education Center offers high school students a six week summer program in partnership with Evergreen Valley College.  Wrap around services include, tutoring, extra help with homework, and math support. Students will meet with industry experts, and go on field trips to local Tech Companies.

The Santa Clara Valley Water District is seeking high school students to assist the board through its new board advisory Youth Commission. The purpose of the new advisory commission is to assist the board with public policy, education, outreach, and all matters impacting Santa Clara County youth and the water district.   

The board of directors is currently accepting applications for Youth Commission members. Each Water District Board Member will appoint three commissioners per district for a total of 21 youth commissioners. The deadline to submit applications is Friday, March 2, 2018. The Fifth Friend Scholarship is awarded to students who come from a divorced family and who have struggled with ADD/ADHD.  One  scholarship will be awarded to the student who has actively contributed to their school and/or community.
